a) Coordinating the functioning of 11 DIETs of Arunachal Pradesh in running 2 year D.El.Ed course (Pre-Service Teacher Education)

b) Conducting D.El.Ed Semester Examinations

c) Supporting, supervising and monitoring the functioning of DIETs.

d) Developing in-service training designs, training modules and materials for various clientele groups

e) Conducting training programmes for teachers, teacher educators & heads of schools

f) Undertaking need based surveys, research and evaluation studies

g) Developing appropriate age-specific curriculum and learning materials in the local specific context of the state as per need

h) Implementing NCERT sponsored programmes such as Population Education and Environmental Orientation of School Education

i) Providing academic support to Directorates of Elementary and Secondary Education

j) Implementing Teacher Education Programmes as a component of Integrated Scheme of School Education (ISSE)

k) Providing academic support to schools and Teacher Education Institutions (TEIs) as a part of its extension activities

l) Coordinating and collaborating with educational institutions such as NERIE, NCERT, CCRT, NCTE, NIEPA, NISD etc.
