State Schemes
1. Calendar of School Activities:
A Uniform Academic calendar for all Govt. schools has been issued for the academic session 2021-22. Each school should plan their activities in consonance with the Calendar of School Activities. Calendar of School Activities envisages judicious management of time, Planning & conducting of School Activities in a balanced manner. It is mandatory for all schools to implement Calendar of Activities as per CBSE prescribed norms.
2. Welfare Schemes
The Govt. has taken up several welfare measures under the Chief Minister’s flagship programmes for the benefit and upliftment of children at elementary level. Residential hostels have been established in various locations in the state and stipends are being provided as a financial assistance which is being paid through DBT.
3. VIDYA Scheme
Under the Vidya scheme, girl child who is studying in Class VI is provided with an incentive of Rs. 10,000/- as fixed deposit in SBI in the name of individual girl child till she completes Class – XII. After successful completion of Class XII, the Girl child is entitled to receive maturity mount of Fixed deposit.
3. VIDYA Scheme

4. Health & Hygiene Scheme
For Health & Hygiene of the girls, every girl child from classes VI to XII is being provided a sum of Rs. 50/- per month.
The Govt. is also providing free text books and school uniform to all children at elementary level.
5. Chief Minister Samast Shiksha Yojana (CMSSY)
Under the Chief Minister Samast Shiksha Yojana, provision has been kept for hiring faculties, where there is a shortage of Science and Maths teachers at a fixed monthly amount for academic months only.
6. Establishment of 1st Sainik School at Niglok, East Siang District.
The lone and first ever Sainik School in the state was established at Niglok in East Siang District and the academic session of the 1st batch of 60 cadets started on 27th August 2018. The Sainik School Niglok was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Pema Khandu on 11th Sept, 2018. Sainik School provides quality residential education to cadets and nurtures and prepares them as future commissioned officers of Indian Armed forces, i.e. Army, Navy and Air force and professionals in other prestigious fields.
7. NCERT Text Books and Uniform
The Department of Education, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh procures text books every year for distribution to students as an incentive. The Department procures text books from (a) NCERT (b) CBSE and (c) English novels from private publishers as prescribed by CBSE. Under Right to Education, Free School Uniform is provided to Class I To VIII through ISSE.
8. National Talent Search Examination (NTSE)
NTS Examination is conducted during the month of November as per guidelines and instructions of the NCERT, New Delhi. They are conducted in 2 (two) Phases of Examination:
1. State Level
2. National Level.
The Amount of Scholarship is Rs. 1000/- per month for the qualifying students from Class XI onwards (irrespective of Class / Course) except for Ph.D. which is as per UGC norms.
9. National Means cum Merit Scholarship Examination (NMMSE)
National Means cum Merit Scholarship Examination is conducted every year during November as per guidelines and instructions of the MHRD New Delhi. The quota for Arunachal Pradesh has been increased from 122 to 150. The Scholarship is provided @ Rs 1000/- per month from Class-IX onward up to Class –XII. The Scholarship money is directly credited through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the Students’ Bank Accounts by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India.
10. Pre-Matric Scholarship
State Govt. is implementing the Centrally sponsored Scheme of providing Pre-Matric Scholarship apart from providing Stipend. Student can avail any one, either Stipend or Pre-matric scholarship.
11. Provision of Science Equipments to the Higher Secondary Schools (Science Stream)
Every Higher Secondary Schools having Science Stream is provided with Science laboratory equipments every year for conduct of Practicals.
12. ADULT EDUCATION
After the closing down of Saakshar Bharat Scheme, Central Govt has launched a new scheme called PADHNA LIKHNA ABHIYAN to literate the old age group people which is in the pre-liminary stage at present.

INSPIRE Awards-MANAK Scheme:
Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE), MANAK (Millions Minds Augmenting National Aspiration and Knowledge) is a National Programme implemented by the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India for attraction of talent amongst students to study science and pursue career with research.
The ideas of the students are uploaded in the official website of the INSPIRE Awards-MANAK by the School authority at the district level. The National Innovation Foundation (NIF) India shortlisted the best ideas and it is further forwarded to the State Authority to conduct the State Level Exhibition & Project Competition.
National Teacher Award :

State celebrates State Teacher Award on 5th September every year.
MDM (Mid Day Meal)
OBJECTIVE:
• To improve the nutritional status of children in classes: I – VIII in Govt., Govt Aided Schools and EGS/AIE centers;
• To encourage poor children belonging to disadvantaged sections to attend school regularly;
• To reduce dropout rates and 100 percent retention in the schools.
• To narrow down the social distance among the different social-economic groups.
MISSION SHIKSHA
There are 7(seven) focus areas under Mission Shiksha which include –
a) Infrastructure development of schools.
b) Technology intervention through Information and Communication Technology and digital initiatives.
c) Teachers training through DIETs and SCERT.
d) Early Childhood Care and Education Centers.
e) Continuous Performance Evaluation of Teachers and Students.
f) Rationalization of teachers’ posting as per the notified transfer posting policy.

NEW EDUCATION POLICY
Govt. of India has revised and launched the National Education policy on 29th July 2020 after a gap of 38 years.
